Superheroes on the brain... [Nov. 10th, 2004|11:16 am]
[mood |tiredtired]
[music |Ringing Phones]

So, between the Wild Card books by George Martin, Teen Titans on TV, Strange Synergy by Steve Jackson Games, X-men Legends on the gamecube and now The Incredibles out in theaters, I _really_ want someone to run a superheroes campaign of some sort so I can play in it....

(Not to mention all the other saturday morning cartoons, comic book movies that have come out and are coming out, etc...)

I'd heard of the Wild Cards for a while, but first discovered it about a year ago. I've only put my hands on a few of them (mostly to save my own meager amount of productive time at home than for any other reason) but tore through them pretty quickly...

Suffice to say, If you were to run that again, I would be _very_ interested.

Have you seen the Vs. CCG? It'll feed your superhero addiction just fine as well...

I've been feeding my need for superheroes by succumbing to my first MMORPG: City of Heroes. Its a reasonably decent game, though Its hard to play some of the classes without a team to support you, and hard to play any classes beyond a certain point alone. And since I don't actually personally know anyone playing, that leaves me teaming with total strangers. Only done it a couple times so far.

Meh. Being primarily a Mac user I tend to stay out of most computer games. That, and I generally have such a low level of free time that I wouldn't want to pay x dollars a month and not get that much value out of it. But I agree, that I've heard good things about the game.

I've been hosting a Mutants & Masterminds game off and on for a while now. A friend of mine has the most awesome collection of super hero figures. Evar. So that makes the games just that much cooler.

I too have heard much good about City of Heroes, but haven't had the time to make checking it out viable.

I gave Versus a try and wasn't too impressed. Yeah, its a super hero ccg, but it isn't a very good one. Actually, I take it back: it is probably the best super hero ccg yet released. I just wish that was saying more.
